T Low Alahji is a Zambian musician based in Ndola. He is known for his recent release Because of You, a track featuring the the renowned and prolific Mumba Yachi
Born as Amos Chipasha but musically he is known as “T-Low” is a Zambian born recording and performing artist, The Singer/Song writer was born in the city of Ndola and is the 6th born in a family of 10, he attained his Secondary Education at Chifubu Secondary School (Class of 2010). His primary genre is R&B but he is also known for his versatility in fusing other genres such as Dancehall, and Afro-Pop into his music with ease.
He developed a keen interest in the art of music at the age of 19 because he believed music has the power to change people’s lives, In 2014 T-low cultivated a desire to compose his own music as he felt the passion to write music became more of an addiction than an interest and this gave birth to his professional career as an artist. T-Low does Upbeat R&B because he feels in as much as sad moments will always be a part of life, relatable and danceable music helps to rid one’s soul of loneliness and sorrow.
It is quite clear to see where the core of T-Low’s versatility comes from in that his musical influences include artists from a wide spectrum of genres.
T-Low has had the privilege of working with both local and international acts such as Zambian Award-Winning artists Roberto, Chef 187, Macky 2, Jay Rox, Muzo, Cactus Agony.
The list is not exhaustive without including Wezi, the one who carries the Lenshina influence the legendary folk vocalist Mumba Yachi. Also artists on the rise such as Jedi, Dark Knight, Phicshawn, Lady Vogue have done collabos with T Low
International acts include; Sangie, Fefe, Sonye, Tay-Grin. T-Low’s catalogue boasts of credits from some of the most eminent sound engineers in Zambia inclusive of Gwap Music Africa CEO and in-house producer “Cream Dollar” and assistant producer “Yikes”, Levels producer “Reverb”, Freshboi Music’s “Tonny Breezy”, UGP’s “Paul Kruz”, YBM’s “Vue Smallz”. His biggest performance was at a festival held in the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola where he shared the stage with Hip-Hop sensations and Multi-Award winning artists Chef 187 and Macky 2.
T-Low who is currently signed to Gwap Music Africa under Cream Dollar has been nominated in the first ever 2017 Kwacha Music Awards hosted by Sun FM as the Best Newcomer in the male field, He is also working on a 9-Track EP which is set to be released in early October 2017 to set the mood for his album ”Affection 4 Favor” set for a 2018 release.
The ”Gwap Music Africa” signed artist has dreams of taking the Zambian music arts and culture to greater heights by continually evolving and nurturing his craft and also hopes to work with more artists outside of Zambia and Africa at large.
